If you know me a little bit, you’ll know that I absolutely love exploring new coffee places. Not only to switch up my workplace, but also to read a cosy book or to journal. Also I love everything sweet, which makes a great combo – especially in Portugal: the country of coffee and patries! One of my most recent discoveries is Lambreta Coffee & Food in Alcรขntara. In this blog I’m going to tell you all about this cute cafe in Lisbon (spoiler: you’ll find delicious pastries here as well ;-)).

A cafe in Lisbon with sweets and brunch
If you love coffee, brunch and sweets (I mean, who doesn’t?), you’re in the right place in Lisbon. Lisbon’s city centre is filled with many cute cafe’s and coffeebars where you can, literally, eat your heart out. But the real hidden gems are, as always, to be found outside of the touristy areas.
Lambreta Coffee & Food is located in the trendy neighborhood Alcรขntara, just a bit outside of the crowded centre – but still really accessible. At Lambreta you”ll find an amazing breakfast and brunch menu รกnd delicious pastries.
A breakfast, brunch or just a quick coffee stop at Lambreta Coffee & Food is perfect to combine with visiting LX Factory (also in Alcรขntara) or sightseeing in Belรฉm. In Belรฉm you’ll find a lot of historical highlights that you can’t miss, such as the Jerรณnimos Monastery, the tower of Belรฉm and the beautiful botanical garden.
Lambreta Coffee & Food in Alcantara
Lambreta is located on a corner, which makes the overall vibe very cosy. There’s also a little terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sun. On a rainy day, the little bar with the higher stools is a perfect spot to work a bit or read a book – while enjoying a hot, spicy chai latte and a sweet treat. Their iced matcha latte is also a good choice on a hot summer day!
Don’t worry if you’re not a sweet tooth: for breakfast of brunch, you’ll have non sweet options as well. Lambreta also serves salads and wraps, if you prefer a healthier choice that won’t spike your blood sugar ;-). But, let’s be honest, the croissants, pancakes and cakes are definitely the most tempting options.
If you want to see all the delicious food Lambreta serves, definitely checkout their Instagram. Warning: Don’t take a look if you’re hungry, because you won’t be able to stop watching ;-).
Delicious homemade cakes
If you’re a sweet tooth, you should definitely try a pastry from Lambreta Coffee & Food. All the sweets are homemade and the ones we’ve tried so far were all very delicious! The type of cakes they have vary every day, but one thing is for sure: you’re in for a treat, no matter when you go ;-).
The passion fruit cake (see the first picture in this blogpost) is one of the most delicious cakes we’ve ever had. It’s definitely our favorite cake at Lambreta, although their chocolate cake with sprinkles and coconut rasp (a little twist on the well known Brazilian brigadeiro cake) is also very good. It’s almost impossible to choose!

Fun fact: We launched our podcast at Lambreta! When the picture above was taken, we just scheduled our very first episode for the launch. We celebrated it with delicious passionfruit cake and a matcha and a chai latte. A very special day that we won’t forget – not only because of our launch, but also because of the passionfruit cake that we can still taste in our mouth ;-).
