If there’s one thing we absolutely love to do, it’s exploring new areas and new cafes in Lisbon. Especially on sunny days, it’s so great to just walk around with no plan and strike down somewhere for a coffee (and something sweet if you prefer, which is not hard to find in Portugal ;-)). By doing this, we already discovered so many great cafes! One of them is Lova cafe, in the heart of Alcântara. In this blog we’ll tell you all about this cafe with delicious brunch, specialty coffee, cakes and even flowers!

Whether you’re a coffee, tea, chai latte or a matcha person – at Lova café you’ll find anything you like (hot or cold). Also they have some seasonal specials, which makes it even harder to choose.
If you fancy something sweet, you’re definitely in the right place at Lova, since they serve delicious cakes. It’s also possible to order cakes online, in case you have something to celebrate and you’re looking for the perfect cake! Prefer something healthier? Lova also has a really great brunch menu, that differs from time to time as well.
Fun fact: when we were still in the process of starting our podcast, we met up a couple times at Lova cafe to work on our scripts, website and social media. What’s really great is that Lova has airconditioning (something that is very rare for coffeebars in this area), which makes it a comfortable place to work for a while. We started our podcast in the heat of summer (it was around 38°) and working here was a nice escape!
Christmas vibes at Lova café
Especially during the festive season, it’s really cosy in and outside Lova cafe – they even have a big Christmas tree with some cute red decoration. During winter season, Anna was obsessed with Lova’s pumpkin spiced latte. It’s actually really hard to make the perfect pumpkin spiced latte that’s not too strong or too sweet – but Lova does an amazing job! I can honestly say it was the best pumpkin spiced latte I ever had.

Lova doesn’t just serve coffee, cake and brunch, they have a lot more to offer! If you’re looking for the perfect flower bouquet for a special occasion, you’ll for sure find it at Lova.
